The MWH180 tankless gas water heater is 82% or more efficient. On demand tankless gas water heaters provide a continuous supply of hot water at published flow rates with a preset temperature of 120°F; only heating water needed, cutting water heating costs up to 50%. The compact design of the MWH180 tankless water heater allows for indoor installation virtually anywhere. The MWH180 has a maximum water capacity of 5.8 gallons per minute at a 54°F temperature rise which allows you to use hot water at up to three plumbing fixtures simultaneously. A remote control is included. An additional remote control for enhanced performance is available.
Alaska Mining & Diving Supply stocks the MWH180 in the propane, internal installation version. Designed to be run off propane gas, this unit is installed inside your building and normally on an external wall for direct venting through the wall. It is possible to install on interior walls and also vent through the ceiling but this will require additional vent pipe and termination options. See the installation manual, particularly pages 47 and 52 regarding installation options. It is highly recommended you review the installation manual in detail before making your purchase. Alaska Mining & Diving Supply recommends having a certified plumber do your installation. While the MHW180 can be converted from propane gas to natural gas use it is not recommended this procedure be undertaken by anyone other than a properly trained individual. The process is outlined in the installation manual. A unit preset for natural case can be special ordered from Alaska Mining & Diving Supply for the same price as a propane model. If interior room space is a problem exterior mount options are also available

There are many installation options for the MWH180 hot water heater (see installation manual) that require different vent pipe options. Unlike the Monitor oil and gas heaters no vent pipe is included with the base unit. We have therefore put together the simplest option for installation on an exterior wall as listed below. It mimics the installation shown on page 33 of the installation manual. The MWH180 will need to be installed on an exterior wall, with a wall thickness of 3.9" to 9.8" for this kit to work. All wiring and plumbing fittings and lines needed to hook up to the unit will vary by location and need to be separately supplied.
