| Alaska Mining & Diving Supply accepts boats, outboards, snowmobiles, ATVs, and other items for sale on a consignment basis. A consignment fee is charged to the seller to compensate Alaska Mining & Diving Supply for storing the item and representing it for sale. In most cases, items sold on consignment are "AS IS" with no warranty expressed or implied by Alaska Mining & Diving Supply. In some cases, there may be residual factory warranty or extended service coverage, or the seller may offer some sort of warranty with the item, but this must be specifically indicated in the sales paperwork. Buyers must assume all consignment items are sold "AS IS" unless otherwise noted. Alaska Mining & Diving Supply recommends that all buyers exercise due diligence and that some sort of condition check be performed by the buyer or their designee. This can be paid for by the seller, to enhance the value of the item for sale. It may also be paid for by the potential buyer, to help protect their investment. Please note that Extended Service Contracts are available on some used boat or outboard purchases. Information on the costs and limitations of these Service Contracts can be had from our Finance Department. |
